Baby Faith Hope

Dear friends, I wanted to share with all of you the beautiful story of baby Faith Hope, who passed away this past Saturday, May 23rd, in her mother's arms. Baby Faith had anencephaly, the same disorder as Red's daughter Therese Joy and my daughter Lucy Rose, but she defied the odds and lived an amazing 93 days! Faith's wonderful mother, Myah, created a beautiful blog dedicated to tracking Faith's daily life, complete with pictures and sweet video clips. Those of us who have had babies with anencephaly followed Faith's blog and watched in amazement as we saw Faith giggle, coo, and hold up her head for the first time. Please say a prayer for Myah as she grieves the loss of her baby girl, and also a prayer of thanksgiving for the beautiful witness of Faith's life here on earth.

You can read more here at Myah's blog about her precious daughter, Faith Hope.

I ran into Myah's blog just a few days ago after learning of Faith's death on another site. I read it from beginning to end and was completely transfixed. What a wonderful testimony. I pray that God will bring Myah comfort in the days to come.

Thanks for posting this Kat! I can't believe how chubby baby Faith is!!! What a blessing her little life is for all of us. My prayers are with Myah, as this is truly a very painful and difficult time for her.

Wow, I have to keep clicking on and then off of Myah's blog to keep my sobs at bay. This is so beautiful, what a brave and pure-hearted woman Myah is, what a beautiful miracle Faith is! Thanks, Kat. Thinking of you and Red especially too...

What a miraculous story! More than anything, I loved watching how Myah delighted in her precious daughter. When most women in her position these days choose abortion (and that's without considering Faith Hope's anencephaly), Myah is a real heroine. I am so inspired by her. Thanks Kat!

I have followed her story for a while and am in awe of this young woman. It is so beautiful to witness the vitality and singularity of her love. I have also heard that she received hate mail because of her decisions - incredible.
