  2. I don't know about you all, but I don't think NFP stinks as much as this author deems it to! Maybe it's because I've been a pregnant, non-NFP'er for the last year. I've forgotten about the sacrifices! lol

  3. I thought NFP stank when I was married to a man who abused it, and insisted on Phase III-only and refused to even discuss anything different.

Now I just wish that I had enough libido to make abstinence a sacrifice. Why doesn't the NFP community ever talk about that problem?

  4. I think that perhaps NFP is more complicated for some people than it is for others, but so is fertility, child bearing and all sorts of other things, so my complicated cycles are not much to complain about. 6 children in 8 years of marriage has left us little time to get "good" at the avoiding parts of NFP, I have been pregnant or nursing for so much of that time that my cycles rarely have a chance to become regular enough to make NFP anything other than totally confusing, so it is often practiced with a bit of panic in our hearts.

I think this is a problem, particularly when women are postpartum, pregnant, or nursing year in and year out! It is hard to give of yourself when you are constantly needed by small people. I think this is something that should be discussed more in the NFP community.
