My secret: laundry detergent in hot water, LOTS of blotting with white towels; wetting, blotting, wetting, blotting... finished off with a steam cleaner. Voila! Thank goodness!
Just for the record, I would NEVER in the world have chosen these carpets for a home with three boys and a large dog!!!! That's what you get when you buy a house--some stuff you love and others, not so much. You can bet we will be replacing it with something brown or hardwood in the coming years. I almost secretly hoped the blue wouldn't come out so that it would be now! :)
FYI, I knew the carpets came with the house, so what I meant to say is that I can't believe you have survived with long with them! Way to go super clean B-mama!
Wow! Impressive! I have that very same carpet, I think...and it is killing me! LOL! I've got three little ones (5, 3, and almost 2) and a dog. NOT the carpet to have with that mix!

Congratulations! What great work. We just realized a plant was leaking and now have brown stains in the corner. Perhaps the steam cleaner would help.
