Story time funny

As we sat down to read stories tonight, 4 1/2 year-old C made an awful face and said "P-U Mommy, your breath really stinks!" I laughed and said, "Okay, C, I'll take care of it. I'll be right back." I headed to the kitchen and, after considering my options, decided on a brownie. I suppose that I could have chosen a carrot or an apple, but if the poor boy has to smell my breath all throughout story time, it's only fair that he would smell the best, right? I thought so, too :)

You deserve the brownie. Good choice.

Is this a picture of the brownie you just ate? Because I was planning to keep myself out of the sweets section of the kitchen for the rest of the night, but after seeing this picture I'm about to dive in for more.

What's with the fall and baking and sweets cravings and not getting as much outdoor exercise... it's a wonder I don't double my body weight every winter like a hibernating bear.

Kat, I love C's honesty! lol. :) Don't you just love hearing it?! My favorite is M's memory of my worst moments-- "Mommy, remember when you were mad and yelled at me the other week?" Ugh, talk about mommy guilt!! :)

This isn't the actual brownie that I ate, but mine was equally as scrumptious with peppermint chips inside it - yum!

Red, thanks for the affirmation :)

JM, once again your comments have made me laugh out loud, too funny!

B-Mama, my C does the same thing in terms of reminding me of my behavior, usually when we're out in public or with his teacher at school or something like that :)

Oh, the sacrifices we must make for our children!

Thanks for making me laugh today!

My kids would have smelled the brownie breath and asked for one too!
