You Know You Don't Eat Much Fast Food When...

You stop at Steak-n-Shake on the way home from the airport to pick up burgers* and your 3 year old looks at his sandwich in a wrapper and exclaims, "Ohhhh...a Present!"

* My apologies to Mad Cow

This doesn't apply to this post (sorry), but I wanted to pass on some great Amazon deals I just discovered.

You can get all kinds of ten-packs of the St. Joseph Picture Books for children for $1.50 (for all ten)! Plus, most of them qualify for Amazon's 3 for 4 promotion where if you buy 4, you get one free. So you can get 40 books for $4.50 if you have other purchases that can qualify you for free shipping. I thought the $1.50 listing for ten books had to be a fluke until I ordered some last week and found that even some that didn't say they were 10 packs actually were (I ended up with 30 copies of one book b/c I thought I ordered 3)! I learned that you have to look at the item weight down in the description--if it's over a pound, it has to be a 10 pack. If it's 2-3 oz., then it's just one book. There are also some Catholic coloring books that you can get for $1.50/10. Order now and spread the wealth with family and friends!

Also, if you buy Pampers today (Sunday) and use the promo code PMPRSDO8 you get 15% off. If you also sign up for their "subscribe and save" you get an extra 15% off:

When I opened the page, my four year old boy gathered near and said oooh, look at that huge hamburger!!

PS if I'm still commenting, it must mean that I am still pregnant...

Thanks for passing on the amazon deals, C! I just ordered a whole bunch of Way of the Crosses for the Children's Way of the Cross we are going to do at our parish this year.

Texas Mommy - I will forgive you for this minor infraction, but only because I know you're a True Believer. But don't make a habit of fast food - unless of course you want your entire family to die of heart disease.

B-mama - I'm glad the boys are laying off the toxic meat. But real men need to eat good meat. It's the circle of life. You don't want to raise a bunch of Rick Astleys. (GG would not be pleased.)

B-Mama, Mr. Incredible is terrified of our boys becoming vegetarians! I had a 6 year stint as one and I think he's afraid it's genetic, so he makes sure the boys know they are eating Pig, Cow, or other animal. The day they start to refuse meat because of its texture or the fact that they fell in love with a puppy will be a very scary day in the Incredible house!
