Welcome baby!

Please join me in congratulating our reader (and my Princeton roomie) Kate E on the birth of her baby girl. She has sympathized with Red throughout these last nine months, and I can't wait to hear all about the HOME BIRTH! Congratulations K! Praise God for these two daughters, they will be meeting up at the Reunions bounce castles before long!

Baby N, your present is pictured here, completed just in time, and posted on the assumption that mom is staying off the 'net tonight...

What is the gift? What does it do? How does it stand up? How do you have the time to do these things?

It's a little cuddle doll, it doesn't "do" anything, but my little boys have knit dolls that they love, so when I saw a very simple pattern for this, I thought I would try it out.

She is leaning against the lamp post, she doesn't stand up on her own. This one does not have a bell or rattle inside, but I think I will do that in the future.

I hope mine is almost done, MA, the due date is in two weeks ;)

It takes exactly two ballet classes to make one, so yours should be in time, can't guarantee the shipping to germany, though. We do not know the gender of your baby, correct?
