Brain Teaser

See if you can solve this one:

"Mommy, yesterday I go to swimming lessons tomorrow!"

What does this mean? Why, it means that today this child had swimming lessons! The yesterday and the tomorrow cancel each other out, you see, to make "today" the answer. My 2 1/2 year-old is so advanced in her reasoning skills that she talks in riddles :)

So cute! Leo refers to all things in the future as "next time" -- so when he sweetly tells the teacher "next time I will listen at swimming lessons" he means I won't listen at swimming lessons right now!

We talk often of "last year" when really we mean yesterday or the day before. Cute!!
