Edited to add another picture of the cake
This weekend we had the great joy of baptising our son. A small group of family members gathered in the chapel of our Church after the Mass for Good Shepherd Sunday, and there our son was given his name and was baptised, anointed and clothed in Christ. Afterwards, we had a little luncheon and cake, which the kids kept calling "Leo's wedding cake." When my children are baptised I am mindful of the fact that I am choosing the Church for them now, but later they will have to choose it for themselves. I pray that if marriage is Leo's vocation, many years from now, he will still be close to the Lord and that the cake we eat that day will be a celebration of a Sacrament.

Congrats to baby Leo! Welcome to the church. I'm so glad it all went well. The cake is gorgeous. Did you make it?
The cake was made by Anne Heap of Pink Cake Box . Anne is an amazing artist and a childhood friend of Leo's godmother. I had no idea what was in store when she generously offered to bring the cake -- it had tiers, which is why the kids thought it was a wedding cake. It was amazing and delicious! It is now my dream to have a homeschool field trip to Anne's bakery.
I put up another picture of the cake on my blog, so you can see its full glory. I would have put it up here but I didn't want to over shadow the Pope...
Leo is the most adorable new Catholic! You can tell he's delighting in being washed clean of original sin! :)
I just went to your blog and saw the big pic of the cake, gorgeous! I want in on that field trip to the bakery. I does look like a wedding cake. Its huge! Hopefully there is enough left over that your family will be enjoying cake for dessert this week. Oh and I forgot to mention that Leo is adorable. All your kids look so much alike as babies, it amazes me.
One last thing, you can edit your post and add the big cake picture in...or you can post it atop the Pope. I would have waited to post the Pope pic if I had know just how cool the cake would look from a side view.
