Celebrity Weddings

Fresh off the press... a moonlit bench in Prospect Garden at Princeton, one lovely lady and one magnanimous gentleman, a family diamond from him, a sweet and certain "yes" from her, and they're headed to the altar.

Here's to you, lovebirds, with all our love and many blessings. The best is yet to come.

We couldn't be more excited for this fella! Looks like a great match... Hip! Hip!

I'm confused -- are they really celebrities? I.e., should we be able to recognize either of them from the photo?!

Lisa, adorable, thanks for the opportunity for clarification! They're celebrities to all of us Builders, which really means the groom is our dear friend from college (and one of a few yet unmarried... until soon) and his lovely fiancee now will be enriching all our lives permanently.

But if there was a Catholic People magazine, this dynamic duo surely would be on the cover!

What a cute couple!

It's too bad the Builders don't know any good unmarried people anymore-- some of their readers might want introductions! ;)

Wonderful! Congrats to Mr. O and soon-to-be Mrs. O!

N, my friend, who said we don't know any good unmarried people anymore? There are always great matches to be made, and there always some of us whose favorite pastime is matchmaking.

Move over CatholicMatch, Ave Maria Singles, and St. Raphael... Building Cathedrals is in the business.

N...you have no idea what you have gotten yourself into! I can assure you that Juris Mater is serious, even if she is several thousand miles away. She is probably swept up in the romance of living in France with no outlet for her matchmaking hobby!

To the future Mr. and Mrs. O, a big congratulations!!

Whoops! I seem to have misinterpreted this from Juris Mater's comment:

"the groom is our dear friend from college (and one of a few yet unmarried... until soon)"

I thought this mean the Builders know very few unmarried people now, but I see it probably means the Builders know just a few people *from their college days* who are still unmarried! I stand corrected.

And may the matchmaking begin! The Builders magic could do wonders :)

Oh N, there happen to be a few of us who enjoy the matchmaking business! I even have an amazing, Catholic bro-in-law who is single and wonderful. We just have to get him home from Afghanistan first (he's serving our country as an Army officer--how romantic!) Pen pals????

To help explain his celebrity status, I would like to add that I have been looking up to this guy since he was a freshman in college, he was part of a generation of kids just behind me in school who really revitalized Catholic life on campus, who made daily mass a cool place to be at lunch time, and who showed me that deep faith wasn't just for aunts and grandmas.
