My favorite line from last night

"I'm not running for president because I think I'm blessed with such personal greatness that history has anointed me to save our country in its hour of need. My country saved me. My country saved me, and I cannot forget it. And I will fight for her for as long as I draw breath, so help me God."

Great. I didn't catch the speech, but that line, without a direct attack, sums up what has been really creeping me out about the Obama frenzy.

Also, the Dems have started running extreme pro-choice radio ads in my state to try to counteract pull of Palin for undecided women...

I think that a consequence of her nomination will be to make abortion a central issue of debate, I wonder if that was part of the Republican plan to mobilize the base.

McCain's service is truly impressive. I was very moved by the many sacrifices he has made for our country. I think this came across quite well during his speech. I just wish he was a little heavier on the policy points...

I particularly liked how many times he referenced God in his speech. In a world that all to often is ready to take God out of everything, it was refreshing to hear the possible next leader of our country speak God's name quite a few times.
